Qr. khioros = verde, dor; [at. forma = forma.] Triclorometan, cu formula CHC^, solvent uzual sub forma de lichid incolor si foarte volatil, cu miros eteric specific. Ingerat este hepato- si nefrotoxic. A fost utilizat In trecut ca anestezic general, anti-tusiv, carminativ si antiiritant. In prezent, este Intrebuintat ca solvent al grasimilor si al rezinelor.
