HISTIOCIT, s. n. / histiocyte, s. m. / histiocyte. [Cjr. histion = f- esdturd, t&sut; kytos = celuid.} Celula componenta a tesu-tului conjunctiv lax, cu functii macrofagocitare. Actualmente ter-menul de h. se refera la *macrofagele care provin din *mo-nocitele ce au trecut din sange In tesuturi. HISTIOCITOM, s. n. / histiocytome, s. m. / histiocytoma. [Cfr. histion = fesdturd, f:esut; kytos = cdu[d; -oma.] Tumora be-nigna a tesutului conjunctiv fibros, alcatuita din *fibroblaste si *histiocite, de unde denumirea frecventa de histiocitofibrom. Uneori se produce o diferentiere xantomatoasa (xantohistiocit-om) sau vasculara (angiohistiocitom). H. fibros, v. dermatofi-brom.
